Where is Lone Mountain in Las Vegas?

The Lone Mountain area is situated north of Summerlin, off Lone Mountain Rd. and north of West Alexander Road. The community includes natural horse ranches and many other rural aspects tied into a modern neighborhood. Home styles range from Spanish Colonial horse ranches to contemporary modern homes built on the principals of energy efficiency and conservation.

Because many members of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reside in Lone Mountain (and the police force training academy is there as well), it’s considered a low-crime area and the stats back that up. There were no reported crimes in Lone Mountain last year, not even an incident of vandalism.

Amenities & Recreation

A big reason many choose the Lone Mountain community is because of all the nearby recreational opportunities.

Within the region are three good-sized parks in Mountain Crest park, Lone Mountain Regional Park and Lone Mountain Park. Each facility has plenty to offer – Mountain Crest has disc golf, Lone Mountain Regional Park is the place with public tennis courts, basketball courts, plus equestrian trails. You can also hike up the mountain and soak in the magnificent views of Las Vegas from the top.

In terms of amenities, the area boasts plenty of professional services, with shopping nearby at Cimarron Village North as well as the popular Craig Marketplace which is off Craig Road by the Gragson Freeway.

Las Vegas is part of the Clark County School District, which is known as one of the best school systems in the state of Nevada. The following schools serve the Lone Mountain community.
