Cash Home Sales on the Rise

It seems that cash speaks the loudest when it comes to buying Las Vegas Real estate this year. In May 2021, 31% of sold homes were purchased with cash, an increase of 15% from May 2020. Cash offers are often preferred by sellers over a buyer using financing. Sadly, this practice is putting a strain on new and middle-class home buyers who may have pre-approved loans and are ready to purchase. A good percentage of the cash buyers are coming from out of state, especially California.

Single-Family Sales Spotlight- March 2021

Single-Family home sales were up 35.1% from March 2020, and 34.7% from February 2021

Average Price: $454,954 up 22.3%

New Listings: 3,566, down -1.1% from 2020

Has anyone noticed, the housing market in Las Vegas is a bit crazy right now. Homes are selling at a ridiculous rate. We’re seeing multiple bidding like we haven’t seen in years. Inventory is extremely low, so there may be limited choice, especially in the lower price ranges.
