The Summerlin Walking Trail is located nearby and offers a tranquil space to exercise and get some sun. Golf

Wood Glen is central to a number of golf courses, with its most popular course known as The Players Club (TPC) located in the Summerlin neighborhood, The Hills South. The golf course offers dramatic views of the mountains along the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and at several spots along the course, glimpses of the city. Membership to TPC is open to residents of Wood Glen, including access to the onsite Clubhouse. TPC is owned and operated by the PGA and is one of the few golf courses in Las Vegas to offer access to the public. TPC is a 7,081-yard championship golf course with a par-71, designed by Bobby Weed and the World Golf Hall of Famer Raymond Floyd. TPC is considered one of the best golf experiences in the entire valley.

Recreation

From the close proximity to gaming at Red Rock Casino to the natural recreational activities provided by the Red Rock Canyon National Preservation Area, residents of Wood Glen are never short on things to do. Active lifestyles are promoted in the neighborhood and access points to walking, biking, and hiking paths are scattered throughout the area. A short distance away from the community is the Red Rock National Park with recreational opportunities that include kayaking, river rafting, horseback riding, and hiking.

The Willows Community Center and Clubhouse is also accessible to residents of Wood Glen and is located about one mile from the neighborhood. Here residents may take part in swimming, basketball, and other park amenities.

Dining options are found along West Sahara and Charleston Boulevard. The Red Rock Casino offers popular steak houses and other gourmet restaurants. Access to the TPC Grille is provided to residents of Wood Glen. The gourmet food and impeccable service are hard to match when dining at TPC Grille. Residents of Wood Glen enjoy the seasonal menu featuring fresh seafood, gourmet desserts, and a comprehensive wine list. Access to Summerlin Parkway is located nearby and provides convenient access to many area restaurants and some of the finest dining hotspots in Las Vegas.

Health Care

The Wood Glen is located a short distance from the only hospital in the community – Summerlin Hospital. The hospital is located at 657 North Town Center Drive and is owned and operated by the Universal Health Services. With its central location, Wood Glen residents have convenient access to local providers, dentists, eye specialists, and pharmacies. Chain pharmacies and locally owned health care stores are scattered throughout the community. A number of healthcare offices are located along Charleston Boulevard.

Shopping

Approximately one mile to the north of the community is the shopping corridor, found on West Sahara. The West Sahara shopping corridor stretches along Sahara avenue and features dozens and dozens of stand-alone retail shops, strip malls, and some of the area’s best restaurants. Just minutes away are the shops and dining venues in Downtown Summerlin.
