The Stallion Mountain community was originally named Sunrise Golf Club and comprised of three traditional golf courses, but in 1997 the facility was sold to renowned developer Billy Walters and later renamed and redesigned. A central wild horse theme holds true today.
Two of the three golf courses were sold to Pulte homes, which are known for their landscaped grounds and uniquely designed communities. The remaining Stallion Mountain Golf Club is a semi-private facility that provides 18 holes of challenging course designed by Jim Colbert, the PGA Tour legend.
